Actually, I don’t know what the meaning of this poem really wants to express. Maybe life is delicate, that is what Lady Dickens wanted to say. But in my opinion, she only succeeded to frighten us. 相信大多數(shù)讀者都曾聽過(guò)這幾句凄絕優(yōu)美的情詞,就連筆者十?dāng)?shù)年前年輕時(shí)夾于桌墊下的情侶剪紙也有這幾句,可見好詩(shī)好詞之所以能傳世不墮必定有其道理,但雖曉得大家所見版本大不相同,不過(guò)筆者當(dāng)然也并沒(méi)有為這首詞下過(guò)什么工夫,直到有一天……

辛巳農(nóng)歷年前,遙光兄忽然轉(zhuǎn)寄了封信說(shuō)有讀者對(duì)某一首詞之版本提出問(wèn)題,要筆者幫他解決一下,真是的!居然丟給筆者這么傷腦筋的苦差事。爾后筆者趁過(guò)年前的空擋回了封信給他對(duì)于此詞約略的見解,然而筆者手邊關(guān)于元好問(wèn)這闋詞的資料不多,故也不敢說(shuō)結(jié)果是對(duì)的。

基于本身對(duì)詩(shī)詞的愛(ài)好與好奇心驅(qū)使下,年后陸續(xù)到許多書局去坐擁暫時(shí)的五車之富,可惜坊間雖有不少元好問(wèn)詩(shī)文集,但屬于詞作方面的資料卻相對(duì)稀少,故筆者僅就目前可得的資料就版本差異勉強(qiáng)稍作說(shuō)明,希望能因此引起大家研究的興趣。同樣的,筆者不敢說(shuō)以下所得的絕對(duì)正確,此點(diǎn)祈請(qǐng)各位讀者特別注意與包涵。

元好問(wèn)(西元1190-1257)字裕之,號(hào)遺山,金代秀容縣人氏(即今之山西省忻州市),七歲能詩(shī)。宣宗貞佑年中,蒙古揮軍南侵,元好問(wèn)為避兵禍南下,居福山縣(今河南省宣陽(yáng)縣西六十里)。三十二歲進(jìn)士及第,時(shí)為興定五年,后金亡不出仕,自號(hào)遺山真隱。與李治、張德輝友善,時(shí)號(hào)龍山三友。

四川大學(xué)歷史系教授繆鉞一九三五年曾于【國(guó)風(fēng)】期刊中對(duì)于元好問(wèn)有一段評(píng)論:“金自大定,明昌以遺,文風(fēng)蔚起,遂於蔚末造篤生遺山,卓為一代宗師。其詩(shī)嗣響子美,方軌放翁,古文渾雅,樂(lè)府疏快。國(guó)亡以文獻(xiàn)自任,所著【壬辰雜篇】雖失傳,而元人纂修【金史】,多本其書,故獨(dú)稱雅正。詩(shī)文史學(xué),萃於一身,非第元明之后無(wú)與頡頏,兩漢以來(lái),固不數(shù)數(shù)覯也。”這一段大意是評(píng)價(jià)元好問(wèn)文學(xué)方面的造詣著作以及其在宋元之間的聲望。

基本上,元好問(wèn)真可算是大詩(shī)人了,據(jù)郝經(jīng)所撰【遺山先生墓志銘】說(shuō)他的詩(shī)作“共千五百余篇”,這當(dāng)然是在沒(méi)有佚失的情況下為數(shù)。至于詞方面,也有三百多之譜。雖然元好問(wèn)填詞的造詣或許并不在詩(shī)作之上,不過(guò)有一首詞倒是獲得相當(dāng)多人的喜愛(ài)與共鳴,那就是【摸魚兒━雁丘辭】,這就是本文所要討論的對(duì)象。

[題解]

這首詞作于金章宗泰和五年(1205),當(dāng)時(shí)元好問(wèn)年僅十六歲。在赴并州(今山西太原)應(yīng)試途中,他被一只大雁殉情的事深深感動(dòng)。他買雁葬于汾水旁,并寫了這首詞。后又據(jù)[摸魚兒]詞調(diào)加工改定。詞作高度贊美了大雁殉情之可貴,譜寫了一曲堅(jiān)貞愛(ài)情的頌歌。

乙丑歲赴試并州,道逢捕雁者云:“今日獲一雁,殺之矣。其脫網(wǎng)者悲鳴不能去,竟自投于地而死。”予因買之,葬之汾水之上,累石為識(shí),號(hào)曰雁丘。時(shí)同行者多為賦詩(shī),予亦有《雁丘辭》。舊所作無(wú)宮商,今改寫之。

大雁的生死至情深深地震撼了作者,他將自己的震驚、同情、感動(dòng),化為有力的詰問(wèn),問(wèn)自己、問(wèn)世人、問(wèn)蒼天,究竟“情是何物”?起句陡然發(fā)問(wèn)似雷霆萬(wàn)鈞,破空而來(lái);如熔巖沸騰,奔涌而出。正如后來(lái)湯顯祖在《牡丹亭.題詞》中所說(shuō):“情之所至,生可以死,死可以復(fù)生,生不可以死,死不可以生者,皆非情之至也。”情至極處,具有起死回生的力量。情是何物,竟至于要生死相許?作者的詰問(wèn)引起讀者深深的思索,引發(fā)出對(duì)世間生死不渝真情的熱情謳歌。在“生死相許”之前加上“ 直教”二字,更加突出了“情”的力量之奇?zhèn)ァ?詞的開篇用問(wèn)句,突如其來(lái),先聲奪人,猶如盤馬彎弓,為下文描寫雁的殉情蓄足了筆勢(shì),也使大雁殉情的內(nèi)在意義得以升華。

天南地北雙飛客,老翅幾回寒暑——

這二句寫雁的感人生活情景。大雁秋天南下越冬而春天北歸,雙宿雙飛。作者稱他們?yōu)?“雙飛客”,賦予它們的比翼雙飛以世間夫妻相愛(ài)的理想色彩。“天南地北” 從空間落筆,“幾回寒暑” 從時(shí)間著墨,用高度的藝術(shù)概括,寫出了大雁的相依為命、相濡以沫的生活歷程,為下文的殉情作了必要的鋪墊。

歡樂(lè)趣,別離苦,是中更有癡兒女——

是中:于此,在這里面。這幾句是說(shuō)大雁長(zhǎng)期以來(lái)共同生活,既是團(tuán)聚的快樂(lè),也有離別的酸楚,在平平淡淡的生活中形成了難以割舍的一往深情。長(zhǎng)期以來(lái),這對(duì)“雙飛客”早已心心相印,癡情熱愛(ài),矢志不渝。“癡兒女”三字包含著詞人的哀婉與同情,也使人聯(lián)想到人世間更有許多真心相愛(ài)的癡情男女。
